UNESCO 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum 2026 in Italy (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the UNESCO 3rd Global MAB Youth Forum 2026 in Italy, and candidates from around the world are encouraged to apply. There is no application fee, and all expenses for the selected 200 participants will be fully covered. UNESCO will provide support for accommodation, meals, and partial travel costs. The forum will take place from 18 to 22 May 2026 in Rosolina Mare, Italy.

The UNESCO Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Program will bring together around 200 participants from across the globe for the third Global MAB Youth Forum. The theme, “Committed to the Future We Want,” reflects MAB Youth’s renewed commitment to addressing biodiversity loss, climate change, and sustainable development, in alignment with the Hangzhou Strategic Action Plan (2026–2035). The MAB program can be described as a global network of “nature parks where people live.” Unlike traditional parks that restrict human activity to protect wildlife, MAB biosphere reserves aim to promote harmony between people and nature, ensuring the well-being of both.

The third Global MAB Youth Forum marks an important milestone in strengthening youth engagement within UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Program. Building on the success of the 2017 and 2019 forums, this edition continues the focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility, reinforcing young people’s role in shaping a more sustainable and resilient future.
