Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;
- Educational background and age requirements for applicants:
- Applicants who come to China to study for a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and be no older than 35 years old;
- Applicants who come to China to pursue a doctoral degree must have a master’s degree and be under 40 years old.
- Excellent academic performance (75 points or above);
- Have strong scientific research ability;
- Not receiving any other scholarships;
- Applicants must have obtained a score of 180 on the HSK Level 4 Chinese Proficiency Test within the past two years. Applicants who have not obtained a score of 180 on the HSK Level 5 must first take Chinese language classes for one year and obtain a score of 180 on the HSK Level 5 before they can enter the major. (If the applicant’s undergraduate program is taught in Chinese and has obtained a degree certificate from a Chinese university, there is no need to provide an HSK certificate)
