The NYU Stern Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded program scheduled to take place from September 17–18, 2026, at New York University Stern’s Greenwich Village campus. The fellowship aims to attract participants who are interested in understanding the relationship between financial markets, climate change, and the global economy. Previous knowledge of economics is not required to apply. Fellows will also have the opportunity to visit well-known landmarks in New York City, such as Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State Building, and the Statue of Liberty.
As climate change rapidly transforms the world, it is also reshaping the global economy. For journalists covering climate issues, understanding the economic and financial aspects of climate change is just as important as understanding its scientific and political dimensions. Through the NYU Stern Climate Economics Journalism Fellowship, selected journalists will visit the university’s Greenwich Village campus to learn from internationally recognized experts in the field of climate economics. Participants will explore key topics and current developments related to climate finance and economics.
