ICIQ Summer Fellowship Program 2026 for International Students
Applications are now open for the ICIQ Summer Fellowship Program 2026 in Spain. International students from around the world are encouraged to apply for this funded summer fellowship. The program aims to provide participants with the opportunity to work on research projects under the supervision of ICIQ PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers.
ICIQ is committed to open science, the societal impact of research, and sustainable and inclusive development as a CERCA center and a member of the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology. International students from around the world are eligible to apply for this 10-week paid internship. The ICIQ Summer Fellowship will run from June 1 to September 14. A total of eleven fellows will be selected globally, and there is no application fee. During the program, participants will also attend conferences and seminars organized by ICIQ. Fellows will receive a stipend of €2000 and will be required to submit an internship report at the end of the program.
ICIQ is a public research foundation focused on advancing chemical research to address major global challenges such as human health and climate change. Since 2014, the institute has received two Severo Ochoa Centers of Excellence accreditations. It hosts around 250 researchers working across 19 research groups specializing in areas such as molecular medicine, renewable energy, decarbonization, and sustainable catalysis. These teams conduct advanced research using both experimental and computational methods. Located in Tarragona, ICIQ collaborates closely with industry to promote innovation, develop practical applications, and train highly skilled professionals.
