International students from around the world are invited to apply for the fully funded DGIST Summer Research Internship 2026 in South Korea. The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students and focuses on conducting research at the DGIST Graduate School under the supervision of experienced faculty members. Participants will also enjoy a range of Korean cultural tours and activities during the program. There is no application fee.
Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology is a public university in South Korea specializing in science and engineering. It is one of the four public institutions in the country dedicated to advanced scientific and technological research. Through this six-week internship, undergraduate students from DGIST and other universities gain hands-on interdisciplinary research experience while exploring diverse research areas at DGIST’s graduate school.

- Applicants should enter the email address of their home university’s academic advisor, and the system will send him/her a link to upload the letter of reference after they submit the application.
- Deadline for submitting the advisor’s recommendation letter: March 11, 2026 (Wed), 4:00 PM (KST).
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants are welcome from anywhere in the world.
- Third- or fourth-year undergraduate students who have completed at least four semesters at the time of application.
- Applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of 75% or higher on the grading scale of their home university (or 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale), or an equivalent academic standing, are eligible to apply.
- At the time of program participation, applicants must be enrolled at their home university and anticipate continuing their studies for at least one more semester before graduating.
- Students with high levels of English language proficiency (official English test scores are not mandatory.
- English proficiency will be evaluated through the academic advisor’s recommendation letter).
- Korean student visa holders are not permitted to attend.
