GRIPS Summer Research Internship 2026 for International Students
Applications are now open for the GRIPS Summer Research Internship 2026 in China. International students from all countries are eligible to apply. Around 100 talented undergraduate and graduate students worldwide will be selected to join the program and carry out a research internship at one of the partnering top universities. GRIPS covers all associated costs, and there is no application fee involved. You may also consider applying for the CRG Research Training Program 2026 in Spain, which is fully funded.
The GRIPS Summer Research Internship 2026 is a fully funded summer program hosted at one of China’s premier universities. Running from June to August 2026 for a duration of five to six weeks (starting June 29 and ending around early August), it offers participants an authentic immersion in research life at some of the country’s leading institutions. Selected students will join one of the host universities Zhejiang University (Hangzhou), Fudan University (Shanghai), University of Science and Technology of China (Hefei), or Nanjing University (Nanjing) after choosing a research project, with accommodation provided on campus in these Yangtze River Delta cities.
The Global Research Immersion Program for Young Scientists (GRIPS) is dedicated to fostering a vibrant community of aspiring future scientists. It brings together college students from diverse backgrounds to promote varied perspectives, experiences, respect, inclusivity, accessibility, and empowerment. The program looks forward to building lasting connections with all participants and future members of the GRIPS community.

Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates must be enrolled full-time in an accredited university as undergraduate or graduate students.
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least two years of education.
- Students at the junior and senior levels will receive preference.
- It is necessary to have a solid academic record.
