MIT KSJ Fellowship 2026 in USA (Fully Funded)

Applications are now open for the MIT KSJ Fellowship 2026 in the United States. International students from all countries are eligible to apply for this fellowship. The program aims to provide fellows with the chance to study at leading research institutions worldwide, develop expertise in a scientific field, and explore the intersection of science, technology, and journalism. During the fellowship, participants will work on a research project related to journalism.

Knight Science Journalism, commonly known as KSJ, is a nine-month fellowship program offered by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Applicants from all countries are welcome to apply, and there is no requirement to submit language proficiency test scores for this fellowship.

The Knight Science Journalism Program at MIT is designed to strengthen science journalism in the public interest by helping journalists better explain science and its relationship with society and culture in an accurate and responsible way. Founded in 1983 under the leadership of its first director, Victor McElheny, the program is widely regarded as one of the most respected journalism fellowships worldwide. Its mission has been strongly supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, along with other major supporters such as the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, and the Kavli Foundation, who recognized early the importance of advancing high-quality science journalism.
