Applications are now open for the CERN OPENLAB Summer Student Program 2026 in Switzerland. Students from any country can apply for this summer program. Bachelor’s and Master’s students are encouraged to submit their applications. There is no requirement for IELTS, and no application fee is needed. The CERN OPENLAB program is specifically designed for students in the field of Information Technology.

Objectives
- Students studying computer science, software, and information technology can work on advanced IT projects for nine weeks through the CERN Openlab Summer Student Program.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered for the CERN OPENLAB Summer Student Program 2026 in Switzerland (Fully Funded), students must:
- Applications for this program are accepted from candidates of all nationalities.
- You must have a solid computing background and be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
- By summer 2026, an applicant must have finished at least three years of full-time university coursework.
- Applications are also open to students who will graduate in May of 2026.
- During your internship at CERN, you must continue to be registered as a student.
- Candidates should not have held a position at CERN in the past.
