Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered for the Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS) 2026 in the Netherlands, students must:
- Possess a passport that is not from the EU or EEA and are therefore ineligible for Dutch financial aid (Studiefinanciering).
- Be submitting an application for the first time to a UvA master’s program (those who currently have a UvA master’s degree are not eligible).
- Be able to fulfill all of the Immigration and Naturalization Service’s (IND) requirements for a Dutch visa.
- Be enrolled in full time classes for the 2026–2027 academic year.

- The final scholarship findings will be made public by the Amsterdam Law School Selection Committee at an unspecified date.
