The University of British Columbia in Canada will be the host of the Human Rights Summit 2026 Forum. International applicants and leaders are encouraged to apply. This fully funded event emphasizes freedom of speech, human rights, and the role of education as a foundation for equality, liberty, and global progress. Students and professionals from all academic fields are welcome to take part in the summit.
Organized to train and inspire future diplomats through diplomatic simulations, the forum creates a platform for young leaders and changemakers to exchange ideas and find solutions to critical global challenges. These simulations allow participants to strengthen key skills such as critical thinking and advocacy, preparing them to become effective diplomats. The summit also aims to promote awareness of the United Nations’ Universal Declaration of Human Rights, foster peace and democracy, challenge discrimination related to race, culture, and religion, and work toward resolving worldwide social issues.

Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered for the UBC Human Rights Summit 2026 in Canada (fully funded), applicants must:
- All citizens of any nation are welcome to apply for this summit in Canada.
- Age Requirements: 18+ for the Observer Category, 16-35 for the Fully Funded Category
- A strong commitment to social change is required, as is participation in educational and social initiatives or a well-defined change vision.
- A passport is necessary, but if you don’t have one, a national ID will do.
- Neither the TOEFL nor IELTS is required.
