Erasmus Mundus EMABG Scholarship 2026 for International Students
Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus EMABG Scholarship 2026. International students from all over the world are eligible to apply for this fully funded opportunity in Europe. The scholarship is designed for candidates who wish to pursue master’s degree programs and covers the academic years 2026–2028. There is no application fee. Students may also consider applying for the Asia Pacific Next Generation Camp 2026 in Indonesia (fully funded).
The European Commission funds this two-year master’s program, which is offered through six leading universities in the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, France, Germany, and Norway. Selected applicants are required to complete their studies at three or more universities in different countries. The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Animal Biodiversity and Genomics (EMABG) equips future leaders with advanced knowledge and skills to address biodiversity loss and global food security challenges. The program’s mission extends beyond academic learning, aiming to create an impact on both industry and society.
The EMABG program represents an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) initiative, tailored to meet scientific, industrial, and societal needs in the areas of animal breeding, biodiversity, and genetics. It serves as a driver of interdisciplinary education in Europe and beyond. As part of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters process, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) is responsible for collecting and handling applicants’ personal data. Eligibility Criteria
- All nationals are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
- Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
- You must have a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with at least 180 ECTS.
- You must have a solid foundation in both animal production (such as animal breeding and nutrition) and basic sciences (such as genetics and statistics) if your degree is in a different discipline.
- English Proficiency: Your test score must be no older than two years in order to demonstrate a strong command of the language.
- TOEFL iBT: at least 92 (with a speaking minimum of 23).
- Academic IELTS: at least 7 (with a speaking score of at least 6.5).
- Cambridge: Additionally accepted are C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency.

English Proficiency Exemption:
- Candidates do not need to submit an English language competence certificate if they have earned a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following nations:
- Canada (with the exception of students who attend Quebec universities),

- the United States of America
